WACPF organized a one-day training for the mentors who are mainly University Students or young adults who, in pairs, facilitate small groups of 10-15 randomly assigned youth, called “Family Groups” at conferences and slams. Family Groups are intended to be fun, open, educational, and safe places for reflection and sharing. Mentors starts conversations, engage youth in icebreaker games, facilitate discussion around specific topics, and answer questions that the youth may have.
