From January 31 to February 2,2025, the West Africa Centre for Peace Foundation, PeaceJam Ghana hosted a three-day residential training under the theme "A Voice for Justice and Human Rights" . This transformative program equipped 40 teachers ( Adult Advisors) with the essential skills and resources to inspire and guide their students in peace building and human rights advocacy.
Through intensive training sessions, educators gained deeper insights into Human Rights Education, Rotary and Positive Peace, Team building for Collaboration, PeaceJam Curriculum Training, Discrimination & Human Rights Awareness, Understanding the UN Declaration of Human Rights, Mob Injustice & Youth Development, Preparing for the 2025 PeaceJam Conference and Community Service Project Development.
The "A Voice for Justice and Human Rights" training successfully equipped 40 teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to promote peace and justice within their schools and communities. The training provided theoretical knowledge but also practical tools that teachers could apply immediately in their classrooms.
