Saturday, June 17 2023 opens our annual PeaceJam Ghana Youth Leadership Conference under the theme; The Echoes of Inner Strength; a pinnacle of self development. The conference welcomed the 1992 Nobel Peace Laureate Rigoberta MenchÃº Tum from Quatemala. As part of our community service project, some youth visited the Accra Psychiatric Hospital to weed and clean-up the hospital facility. After the exercise, young people had the opportunity to engage in a meaningful conversation about mental health with both the patients and the hospital staff. These discussions provided a platform for them to learn from the experiences and challenges faced by individuals living with mental health conditions.
